Nigel Coates (born in Malvern in 1949) is an architect and designer who has consistently challenged the conventional notions of architecture and design. His approach is to infuse art and intelligence into his work, bringing passion, irony, and instinct to every space and object he creates. Coates received his training at the Architectural Association and quickly established himself as a unique design force, drawing inspiration from the vibrant and chaotic nature of urban life.
